If you're looking to obtain these nifty kitchen cones, I unfortunately don't know of a dedicated source that sells them. You'll have to scour the web looking for one. At the time of this post, the cone was free for residents (proof of residence required) and available from the Public Works counter at City Hall in Pointe Claire, QC.

A small container is a handy way to collect food waste and transfer it regularly to the compostable materials bin. An alternative to the kitchen cone, an ice cream container with a lid will serve the same purpose. Put it in a convenient location in your kitchen and line it with paper towel, newspaper, or advertisement flyers to prevent food scraps from sticking and reduce smells.
